With league titles and postseason bids, an offensive, defensive and special teams standout of the year, combined with a transformative coaching performance, set new standards for excellence in the SWAC.
Here is the 2025 SWAC award winner:
Offensive Player of the Year

Alabama State Quarterback Andrew’s Body He is the clear frontrunner for Swac Offensive Player of the Year. He managed swak in both offense (352.5 yards) and efficiency (202.9) before sustaining a right shoulder injury that limited him to eight games.
His 7,112 yards, 24 touchdowns and only one interception, rushing for 708 yards and four scores, made him the conference’s most productive and efficient offensive player.
Defensive Player of the Year
South defensive end Ckelby Givens Finished with 17 tackles for a loss and nine sacks in 11 games. Any quarterback who is the SWAC’s first-rounder in 2025 and who is the favorite of the year, who gives all-around production, lacks another quarterback, his production and the favorite of the year.
Coach of the year
Prairie a & m head coach Tremaine Jackson His credentials led the Panthers to a 9-win season, the most since 2009, when he joined as head coach leading the Panthers to the SWAC West championship. Jackson was named one of the 15 finalists Eddie Robinson AwardWho knows the best coach in FCs.

Batsman of the year
Florida A&M’s Daniel Porto 20 field goals (80 percent), but also four extra points for both accuracy and volume. His 51 yards and 68 points tied for fifth among all players in total points.
Punter of the year
Demetrion Duvall of Alcorn County The first with 13 penalties inside the 20, drilled 13 attempts of at least 50 meters this season. Duvall’s ball control and leg strength separated him from the rest of the pack, flying the field all season.
Comeback Specialist of the Year
Bethune-Cookman’s Javon Ross He is the premier return threat after posting two kickoff return touchdowns, 506 yards and an astounding 33.7 yard average. In the return game, his explosiveness can consistently rot with wild-field position, making him the most dynamic return specialist in the league.
Rookie of the year
Prairie a & m running back chase bingmon He emerged as a featured piece of the Panthers’ third-ranked ground attack, averaging more than 130 carries and six yards per attempt, averaging more than 857 rushing yards.
He has made Prairie a consistent scoring threat in the short end and in explosive play situations. Bingmon’s workload and efficiency solidify him as one of the key offensive weapons in the Panthers’ backfield for the SWAC West champions.

Jackson State Quarterback Jared Lockhart filled in nicely for the previously injured starter, Jacobian Morgan. A true rookie, he went 5-0, 5-0 as a starter, throwing for 1,052 yards and seven touchdowns for just two interceptions on 103 attempts.
Lockhart completed 15 of 17 passes for 194 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown pass to Nate Rembert, in helping Jackson State win 27-21 on Saturday to open the SWAC East championship game. This effort won Stats HBCU FCS national player of the week plays Honorary.
New start of the year
As the first year begins Florida A & M, Quarterback RJ Johnson III 173 of 263 completions for a 26% completion rate, swac for 2,314 yards, 16 touchdowns and just one interception through nine games. Ranked third in total offense with 223.3 yards per game.
Wow, Running back for Southern University In the 2025 Swac Season, he is a key offensive weapon for the Jaguars. He compiled 808 rushing yards, averaging an impressive 5.4 yards per attempt.
Holly, an LSU transferscored seven touchdowns and was second in Swac with 98.7 all-purpose yards per game. Holly’s combination of efficiency and goalscoring ability underscored his value as a reliable and productive player for the South.
