FBI Conducts Home Raids On Fourth NYC Mayor Advisor

Another FBI house raid has been conducted on a staffer within NYC Mayor Erica Adams’ office, this time being Director of Asian Affairs Winnie Greco.

The FBI is cracking down on its allegations of corruption surrounding the New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Two Bronx homes of Adams’ advisor Winnie Greco were raided on Feb. 29.

Greco started as a fundraiser for Adams during his campaign for mayor. She has since served as the Director of Asian Affairs, working as a liaison between Adams and the Asian community within NYC. Swiftly following the searches on her homes that Thursday morning, Greco was placed on administrative leave.

According to CBS News, the search was prompted by reports of Greco using her public position for personal benefit. The accusations were first investigated by the city’s Department of Investigations in November 2023, following the claims from city contractor who alleges she requested her home renovations to be conducted for free.

Multiple employees directly under Adams have been part of a probe launched by the FBI. Lead fundraiser Brianna Suggs’ home was raided also in November 2023, as well as the Mayor’s Director of Protocol for International Affairs, Rana Abbasova. During the raid, Suggs was questioned by federal agents but was not charged.

She had an unusual financial payout with the Adams’ campaign, working on commission to acquire funding, as reported by Politico. She has since been removed from Adams’ fundraising team and reassigned to another department within his office.

That same month, investigators seized several of Adam’s tech devices, including his multiple cell phones and iPad. The searches stem from a warrant on Adams’ suspected collusion with the Turkish government to obtain illegal funding from foreign entities to aid his campaign.

The Mayor’s office has emphasized cooperation with authorities yet refused to comment further on the mounting accusations and house raids.

“Our administration will always follow the law, and we always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines,” shared a spokesperson. “As we have repeatedly said, we don’t comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway.”
