NEW JERSEY — Want to help “dispel ethnic untruths” while enjoying some of the finest African American, African and Caribbean cuisine in New Jersey? You probably won’t have to travel far, the creators of Black Restaurant Week say.

On Friday, the group kicked off its new “No Crumb Left Behind” campaign, an effort to get some eyes on hundreds of Black-owned restaurants in the U.S.

Derek Robinson, one of the co-founders of Black Restaurant Week, said the campaign will help culinary businesses stay afloat as the world recovers from the coronavirus pandemic. “New Jersey is recognized as a leading culinary destination, with flavors from the African diaspora making a significant contribution to the local food scene,” the group said.
