Last week, the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts hosted the Mass Black Expo, a three-day event that showcased hundreds of Black businesses, organizations and allies committed to fostering an equitable economy, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. BECMA President Nicole Obi, Gov. Maura Healey, Rep. Ayanna Pressley and Sen. Elizabeth Warren and a variety of participants spoke on crucial issues facing New England’s Black business community, including building Black wealth in the Commonwealth. The Expo provided an opportunity for Massachusetts Black and minority business leaders, clergy, community activists, elected officials and residents to convene and share ideas to realize a more productive, inclusive and equitable economy.
