Coffee Shop In Fairfield Closes Months After Opening

FAIRFIELD, CT — Small Medium Large Coffee Company, at 2480 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, closed Easter Weekend, less than a year after opening, according to posts on its website and Facebook.

“We would like to thank all our wonderful patrons for their continued support,” the owners wrote. “We have thoroughly enjoyed being your cup of choice for the past year.”

Small Medium Large Coffee not only served coffee, but also pastries, breakfast and sandwiches.

The exact reason for the shop’s closing was not disclosed. It opened in August, and twice during its run, the shop received citations from the Fairfield Health Department for minor violations, the Fairfield Citizen reported.

The business is selling its fixtures and equipment, and said to email them for more information.

Additionally, the company was also selling its last coffee beans, though supplies were limited.

“If anyone is interested in purchasing any of our individual coffee packs or the few retail bags that we have left please send us a message,” they wrote. “We have Regular, Hazelnut Decaf, French vanilla, banana hazelnut, chocolate peanut butter cup & Jamaica me crazy.”
