Grambling State takes down Oral Roberts in WNIT


The Grambling State women narrowly defeated Oral Roberts on Thursday evening in a hard-fought 93-91 contest in the Women’s NIT Tournament. The Golden Eagles went into halftime with a six-point lead, but the Lady Tigers would not go down without a fight. The sides exchanged the lead 13 times over the final 20 minutes, with Grambling State able to do just enough to come out on top.

Jazmyne Jackson scored 21 points to lead the way for Grambling State. Jordyn Carter was pivotal as well, shooting 3-of-3 in the second half for 10 points to power the Lady Tigers forward after the break. The Golden Eagles will have to rebound in Summit League Tournament, as this was their final game of the regular season.
