Here are restaurants open on Thanksgiving day in eastern Idaho


IDAHO FALLS — Is preparing and cooking Thanksgiving dinner exhausting you? Or do you have plans that fell through?

There are multiple places open for dinner on Thanksgiving day and places that are providing pick-up meals in eastern Idaho. We’ve compiled a list below!

Idaho Falls:

The Sandpiper Restaurant: The business will be open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will be offering an all-you-can-eat turkey and ham dinner for $29.99. The regular menu will also be available.

Redd’s Grill: There will be a Thanksgiving dinner buffet at the Snake River Event Center at Shilo Inn. New this year will be an appetizer table with a variety of options to choose from.

Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be roasted turkey, glazed ham, sweet potatoes, a full salad bar with over 30 items, mini pies, cookies, cakes, and more. Adults (11-55) will cost $37, seniors (56+) will cost $30, children (5-10) will cost $15, and children four and under eat free. Make a reservation by clicking here.

Shari’s Cafe and Pies: The business will be open on Thanksgiving from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. According to Facebook, there will be a holiday turkey and ham dinner with three sides for $17.49. There are also holiday pre-orders available.

Black Bear Diner: Feast on the tradition at Black Bear Diner on Thanksgiving day. There will be homestyle turkey, old-fashioned smoked ham, and slow-roasted prime rib. Each dinner comes with multiple items like red-skinned mashed potatoes and gravy, along with cornbread.

The turkey and ham dinners will cost $23.99, and the prime rib dinner will be $25.99. They will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will serve Thanksgiving food from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Salvation Army: There is a free community Thanksgiving dinner at the Elks Lodge from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. It will be a traditional Thanksgiving meal on the holiday.

Jakers Bar & Grill: You can enjoy Thanksgiving with Jakers in Idaho Falls and in Pocatello, featuring a turkey or ham dinner plus the regular dinner menu. The restaurant is open for dine-in and take-out from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The turkey and ham dinners include mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, stuffing, choice of soup or salad and pumpkin pie.

Ammon:

Chuck-A-Rama: The restaurant will be open on Thanksgiving day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be serving dinner, including turkey, ham, green bean casserole and more. Adults will cost $29.99 and kids will cost $2 per year.

Pocatello:

The Yellowstone Restaurant: The restaurant will be open on Thanksgiving from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a traditional turkey Thanksgiving dinner option. Reservations are strongly recommended. Call (208) 234-7000 to make a reservation.

Fort Hall:

Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel: There will be a Thanksgiving dinner located in the Painted Horse Buffet from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving day. There will be traditional turkey, savory sides and delectable desserts. It will be $26 per person ages 13 and up, $13 for children ages four to 12 and free for kids three and under.

Blackfoot:

Community Dinner Table & Food Pantry: A big free Thanksgiving dinner is hosted every year at the Jason Lee Memorial Methodist Church in Blackfoot. It will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving day. All are welcome.

St. Anthony:

The Lions Club is helping put on a Thanksgiving day dinner. It will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Fremont Junior High School. It’s a free dinner, but donations are accepted.

Rexburg:

JB’s: The restaurant is open for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and then will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet on the holiday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will cost $20 for adults and $10 for children ages three to 10.

Denny’s: It will be open 24 hours and will serve a Thanksgiving turkey meal for $16.99. There are also pie selections that are sold separately.
