RoadPitch, a traveling pitch tour, founded to tackle the funding gap faced by Black tech entrepreneurs, will stop in Cincinnati on March 13. This will be the fourth city on the Midwest tour. RoadPitch partners with the Blacks in Technology (BIT) Foundation to foster innovation, diversity, and economic growth.

RoadPitch, founded by Meagan Turner and Rohan Brown, gives Black tech founders an opportunity to engage in a week-long sprint in hopes of raising pre-seed or seed capital from investors. The Midwest tour will take place March 11-16, with the RoadPitch team traveling to Ann Arbor, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Milwaukee.

Turner, a Cincinnati native, said, “I am excited to bring our group of founders to town to explore the Cincy tech ecosystem and hopefully identify resources to keep them here.”

The evening event begins with a mixer and fireside chat where the goal is to bring together the local startup ecosystem and Black professionals throughout the city. The highlight of the event will be a live pitch competition where both traveling founders and five local Black tech founders will present their startups to ecosystem leaders, investors, and community members.

The RoadPitch evening in Cincinnati is on Wednesday, March 13, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at Union Hall, 1311 Vine St. in OTR. The event is FREE and open to the public.
