Simone Biles and Taylor Swift were both in attendance to watch their spouses play against each other in the Chiefs vs Packers game on Sunday night. But some Packers fans decided to troll Swift by rooting for Biles instead.
Love was in the air at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin as the Green Bay Packers faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Biles being married to Green Bay safety Jonathan Owens, she was front and center to cheer her husband on, as captured by Daily Mail.
But their marriage didn’t get as much attention as Taylor Swift and her high-profile romance with Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce. The “Shake It Off” singer was in Green Bay on Sunday to support Kelce as she has been doing at many of his recent games.
But Packers fans were unphased by Swift’s billionaire pop star status, and trolled the “Bad Blood” singer by holding up signs in support of Biles. Some of the signs placed X’s on Swift face and praised the seven-time Olympic medalist.
“We’re not here to see Taylor, we wanna see Simone!” one sign read.
“Shake it off Green Bay we have Simone Biles,” said another.
Biles stayed warm in the freezing Wisconsin weather by wearing a personalised Green Bay jacket which carried Owens’ name and number. She and Owens tied the knot in Houston back in April and enjoyed a ceremony destination wedding with family and friends two weeks later.
The pair have been inseparable since announcing their relationship in 2020. Fans have gotten peeks into their decision to move in together, get engaged, and eventually married.
Meanwhile, Swift and Kelce have all eyes on them as they enjoy the early stages of their budding romance that kicked off in October. The pop star has received mixed reviews from NFL fans when she attends games. But she and Kelce are still going strong.
One things for sure, if it ends up being a Packers vs Chiefs shown down for Super Bowl 2024, Biles might give Swift some competition with her growing fan club.
