The event will take place on Saturday, October 28, starting at 2:00 pm and concluding at 5:00 pm at Valdosta State University, University Center in the Magnolia Room.

According to organizers, this expo is a dynamic platform designed to empower local entrepreneurs.

“It’s a free and open-to-the-public gathering where businesses and the community can connect, learn, and thrive together,” stated Kimberly Grisson-Dixon, VP of Events & Programs for the Southern Georgia Black Chamber, who is presenting the event.

The expo will host a range of resources for small businesses, including ACE South Georgia (Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs), the Small Business Administration (SBA), Go Local Merchant Services, Carter HR Solutions, Invest Young Money, Valdosta Daily Times, and the South Georgia Regional Library.

Attendees will have the chance to engage with experts from these organizations, gaining insights, information, and networking opportunities.

The event kicks off at 2:00 pm, with the highlight being the CEO Roundtable panel discussion starting at 2:30 pm. Esteemed business leaders will share their experiences, providing valuable insights into the entrepreneurial journey.

Following the roundtable, at 3:15 pm, the keynote speaker, David T. Cuffie, will take the stage. A graduate of Valdosta State and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Cuffie is a nationally recognized motivational speaker, set to inspire attendees with his wisdom and passion for entrepreneurship.

In addition to the enriching sessions, the SBA will present vital information about the Economic Injury Disaster Loan opportunity. This is especially crucial for businesses impacted recently by Hurricane Idalia. The program’s deadline is fast approaching in early November, making the expo a timely platform to learn about available support options.
