The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival 2023: A Feast for All Senses

Baha Mar, the Caribbean’s luxury resort, will host The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival from October 27 to 29, 2023. This year’s festival is pulling out all the stops with an array of interactive celebrity chef demos. The festival will also feature exclusive master classes, live performances, and an innovative art showcase called FUZE.

Renowned chefs like Marcus Samuelsson, Ken “Katsuya” Uechi, Dario Cecchini, and John Cox, alongside Grammy-winning singer Sting, are headlining the event. Notable guest appearances include Amanda Freitag, Carla Hall, Geoffrey Zakarian, Scott Conant, Michelle Bernstein, Eitan Eats, Simeon Hall Jr., and the team behind the award-winning bar, Broken Shaker, as well as spirits expert Noah Rothbaum.

The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival’s Highlights

Among the festival’s highlights are intimate chef experiences. The list includes sushi making with Ken “Katsuya” Uechi, coconuts and cocktails with Marcus Samuelsson and Scott Conant, and a taste of the islands with Simeon Hall. Attendees can also participate in master classes led by culinary stars. Attendees can learn from a butchery master class with Dario Cecchini, biscuits for breakfast with Carla Hall, and a master class with Amanda Freitag in The Kitchen. Bespoke spirits and wine tastings and cocktail seminars will also be hosted by industry leaders.

The Bahamian festival kicks off with the Welcome Beach Party Powered by SLS Baha Mar at the Baha Bay Waterpark. It will feature Sting’s special performance. Guests can savor culinary delights from renowned eateries like Katsuya, Cleo, Carna, Fi’Lia, Broken Shaker, and more. The party continues at Skybar. Weekend pass holders can join Marcus Samuelsson at the exclusive Marcus After Dark event, an after-party with tropical beverages and bites.

FUZE – The Caribbean Art Fair and Culinary Expo

For the first time, Baha Mar’s Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center will host FUZE, a Caribbean Art Fair and Culinary Expo. This event spans two days—Saturday and Sunday. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment, chef demos, food and wine tastings, and art demonstrations by artists from Caribbean nations.

FUZE, a unique art showcase, will also be introduced this year. The event will present panel discussions, guided tours, live printmaking demonstrations, and a film series. FUZE integrates regional artists, galleries, and more into the festival’s programming, connecting festival-goers with Bahamian contemporary art and artists.

Saturday ends with a series of Signature Chef Dinners hosted by headlining and guest chefs, each offering specially curated menus. Tickets for each Signature Chef Dinner start at $300 per person. The weekend wraps up with the Bahamian Music Showcase Concert hosted by Baha Mar.

Tickets are now available on the official website, with pricing ranging from $35 to $1000 per person, per event. The all-inclusive Festival Weekend Pass is $799 and includes a premium welcome gift, entry to exclusive parties, a Signature Chef Dinner, and unlimited access to culinary and art expos.
