  • The Holly Hill restaurant will host monthly tastings
  • Tastings are on the third Wednesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In a news release, Holly Hill shared its Thirsty Fox restaurant in Lexington would be the “venue of choice” for KBBG’s tastings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.

“We’re proud and excited to be working with this group,” said KBBG President Rob Beatty. “We place value in the same things, like gathering people together to celebrate the fine things in life. I can see us growing together and building a beautiful future.”

“Holly Hill believes that food reflects who we are as a community, rooted in the traditions of those who came before us, and carried on by the relationships we build,” Ouita Michel said. “It is the intersection of people, places and ingredients, told one story, one dish, and one memory at a time.”

Holly Hill said Michel’s philosophy dovetails with the mission of KBBG to make bourbon accessible to all and highlight the African American contribution to its history.

“So many fantastic moments occur when people get together to dine and imbibe,” Beatty said. “If there was ever a time to share each other’s company and bond over bourbon, whiskey and fellowship, it’s now.”

Holly Hill was opened in 2001 by Michel and her husband, Chris. It has now expanded to include these restaurants: Honeywood, Smithtown Seafood, The Midway Bakery, The Thirsty Fox, Wallace Station, Windy Corner and Zim’s Cafe.
